Every year, Wine Enthusiast's editors sip and dine around the country, looking for restaurants that provide charming, unexpected and just plain good wine and food experiences. And every year, they find that the number continues to grow, as more restaurants put the same kind of care into their cellars that they do in their kitchens.
You’ll find the 100 restaurants that they’re most excited about right now, a mix of old and new, formal and casual, with influences from around the globe, including San Jose's own Michelin-rated Adega. Adega is owned by a wine-importing family from Portugal and boasts the largest list of Portuguese wines outside the country itself. The menu features refined versions of traditional dishes like arroz de pato and polvo á lagareiro.
Congratulations to Adega owners and chefs, David Costa and Jessica Carreira, for this prestigious distinction!
