Darrel DeBoer, named one of the nation's top ten green architects by Natural Home magazine, has been using many different natural building materials in his work, first because they were cheap, but then because he found that they worked better for him than processed, proprietary ones. He is particularly interested in bamboo building and has written several books on this topic. So he will focus on this fast-growing, strong product as he describes what he sees as the future of sustainable components for architecture.
