Prince Among Slaves - Film Screening, Silicon Valley Reads

Prince Among Slaves is a one-hour film that recounts the true story of an African Muslim prince who was captured and sold into slavery in the American South. After forty years of enslavement, he regained his freedom, became a national celebrity, and dined in the White House.

2012 is the tenth year of the Silicon Valley Reads program, which is presented by the Santa Clara County Library, the Santa Clara County Office of Education, and the San Jose Public Library Foundation.
