All three of these bands have been making their mark this year and South Bay Live decided to showcase them for a night of magic.
8pm: Inca Silver
Inca Silver is the color of singer Thia's Telecaster guitar. Brought together by divine intervention, Thia is joined by Misha Guifre on bass, keyboards, and guitar and Evan Bautista of Silent Envy on drums. Inca Silver's musical drink blends genres: a shot of pop and electronic, with a splash of indie and hip hop. Topped by silky female vocals, the music grooves, flowing from upbeat and danceable to soulful and rocking.
9pm: Ish
The band ish. is the musical equivalent of a chemistry experiment...throw a bunch of hazardous musicians together and see what kinds of reactions occur....sure there's some safety risks, but without such trials, how can we expect to evolve? Now on stage; Trinitrotoluene attempts No 1...aka an act named "Ish".
10pm: Northern Son
"The latest to grab my attention is new South Bay rock outfit Northern Sun, which includes members of the now defunct and once popular local band My Former Self. I was so impressed with their debut album Wider Skies that we decided to add them to our next Buck-O-Five showcase at the Voo Doo Lounge in April..." -Aaron Axelson (Music Director of San Francisco's Live 105).
