Begin by looking at woven samples and images of how artists use color, and to what effect. Enhance your designs and your intuitive color sense and learn how to choose and blend solid and multiple colors with special techniques like hatchings and hachures, half-pass, varied patterns, and eccentric weaving. All tapestry weaving levels are welcome. All equipment and materials are included in the $10 fee (payable to the instructor).
Biography: Tricia Goldberg has taught tapestry weaving for over twenty-five years. She teaches at her studio in Berkeley and travels to teach workshops. She weaves commissioned tapestries as well as her own work, which has been widely exhibited. Triciaâs work appears in various collections and in publications including Fiberarts Design Book 3, 4, and 7; and The Tapestry Handbook by Carol Russell. Tricia studied at the San Francisco Tapestry Workshop and is a member of Tapestry Weavers West, the American Tapestry Alliance, and the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles.
