What better place than a place where major music legends rocked the house?  Since opening in 1936, the San Jose Civic has hosted artists such as Duke Ellington, Buddy Holly, The Grateful Dead, The Who, Bob Dylan, the Beach Boys, Barbra Streisand, Cream and The Rolling Stones. Recent luminaries include Crosby, Stills & Nash, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Beck, Interpol, Switchfoot, Reliant K, My Chemical Romance, the Pixies and even Snoop Dog have headlined the Civic's stage.


Recently given a $13 million facelift, this Spanish mission-style, dual-level diva venue still holds court over a variety of events including concerts, performing arts, general assembly and special events. Want to book a custom concert for your group? No sweat.  Team San Jose recently partnered with entertainment giant Nederlander Concerts, who has the pull to create the right artist for your delegation demographics – with a little notice of course! And with our new state-of-the-art sound and video system, top-line interior lighting system, seating upgrades and more, seeing the show has never been sweeter.

Dressing Rooms

Two large athletic dressing rooms, one stage left and one stage right, are each equipped with showers, one sink, one toilet, a large table, benches and lockers. In addition, two large chorus rooms and six small dressing rooms are located one level above stage level and are accessible by stairways, stage left and right. On the same floor are two bathrooms with shower and toilet facilities.
