San Jose Stage Company, recognized as The Bay Area’s Premiere Off-Broadway Theatre, presents award-winning, innovative and contemporary programming, showcasing the region’s best new and established artists in a unique off-Broadway style venue. The Stage produces, at a minimum, a 5-play subscription series, inclusive of 120+ performances and 10 scheduled talkbacks.
Since The Improv opened in downtown San Jose in 2002, it has been a key destination for gut busting, world-renowned comedy acts as well as a host of music and special events. The Improv’s intimate club setting gives those in its audience an opportunity to see their favorite acts up close. The Theatre on San Pedro Square (TOSPS) is a black box theatre located on the 2nd floor of the historical Farmers Union Building in the Downtown San Pedro Square district of San Jose. The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum began with one small artifact, a Sekhmet (lion goddess) statue, which stood on the desk of H. Spencer Lewis, the founder of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC. Since then the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Planetarium has become an educational institution that uses trans-disciplinary approaches to increase knowledge about the past, present, future, and learning for greater public understanding and appreciation of the world in which we live, drawing on the wisdom of ancient traditions and modern science.
