Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Floor Coordinator will assist with the preparation and coordination of Food and Beverage Events. F&B Events include trade shows, conferences, expos, conventions, corporate meetings, fundraisers, consumer shows, performing arts, art shows and exhibits. This is an on-call, part-time position that supports the F&B Team. The hours worked will be based on the need to support our events.
Position Responsibilities
- Preparing menu labels for all F&B menu items
- Review of all F&B buffets, stations to ensure proper signage
- Ensure menu items details line up with Event Orders
- Check incoming hot and cold food deliveries against the WO
- Review of all Bars for supplies, set-up and signage
- Review equipment needs to event
- Check in with Event Manager or Theater Manager prior to all events
- Review Menu Monitors to ensure correct menu items and priced are displayed correctly per venue
- Check POS to ensure all menus items and pricing are correct per venue
- Addressing and resolving visitor concerns and complaints and troubleshooting other issues on the floor
- Attend and execute Pre-Shift with Captains and/or Supervisors
- Review floor plans of food and beverage placement, food and beverage orders, staffing and anything else that might be needed to be done to ensure a successful meeting or event
- Responsible for the daily operations of the Conference floor, including providing support and guidance to fellow staff to ensure a successful and effective operation ending in a positive client experience
- Performing a variety of administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the Director of F&B or the Associate Director of F&B
- Additional responsibilities as required
- Routinely working weekends, holidays, and frequent evenings
Position Requirements
- 2-3 of F&B Hospitality Experience
- Must be Responsible Beverage Service Certified or will obtain certification upon hiring
- Experience in coordinating a variety of events in a large cultural, convention or entertainment facility
- Knowledge of computer software including Windows, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of coordinating service requirements for a variety of trade, business, educational, theatrical, entertainment, industrial and recreation events
- Ability to lead and direct others effectively
- Ability to meet and work successfully with Local-19 team members and customers
