The River Bride
Two sisters, one fiancé, and one mysterious man who is rescued from the Amazon River three days before the small village celebrates a wedding. And then there are those river dolphins.
Romantic, mysterious and influenced by Brazilian folklore, Marisela Treviño Orta's play The River Bride is an unusual theatrical experience at City Lights Theater's intimate stage. You'll feel immersed in sound designer George Psarras' rainy, thundery soundscape, and set designer Ron Gasparinetti's evocative vision of the rainforest. Performances are about 90 minutes, with no intermission, and we would rate this show PG for some adult themes.
