San Jose Power Play

Day 1

Thursday, January 24

Puck drop at SJC.

Soak up the California weather at any of San Jose’s wide-open spaces. Go for a hike and enjoy the view in Alum Rock Park, Blue Oak Ranch Reserve, Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve or Joseph D. Grant County Park. Prefer to stay inside? You can still stay active with indoor rock climbing at The Studio in Downtown San Jose’s SoFA District.

Downtown San Jose has several spots to grab a bite after you work up a hunger. Don’t get chirped by your crew – everyone can get what they want at San Pedro Square Market and SoFA Market where global food vendors are housed in an open market space.

After you refuel, meet team mascots, get player autographs, and take a selfie with the Stanley at the NHL Fan Fair presented by SAP at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center – open from 5PM to 10PM.

Day 2

Friday, January 25

Start your day with a San Jose-based cup of joe. Academic Coffee, Chromatic Coffee and Social Policy are the perfect cafes to get your caffeine fix and go full strength.

Enjoy shopping and restaurants at Santana Row and stop at the Winchester Mystery House or head to Willow Glen for local shops and great eats.

Before the Skills Competition, show off your own skills at Downtown Ice! Rent or bring your own skates to the outdoor rink.

The SAP NHL All-Star Skills Competition kicks off at 6PM at SAP Center. Before you head in, chow down in Little Italy at Henry’s High Life or enjoy local music and Cajun cuisine at Poor House Bistro – both walking distance from The Tank (SAP Center).

Day 3

Saturday, January 27

Fan Fair kicks off early today! Take advantage of the family friendly activities from 10AM to 5PM before the All-Star Game.

For a quick bite, grab the Patrick Marleau, or any of the athlete-inspired sandwiches, from Ike’s Love and Sandwiches. Try a ‘wich with dutch crunch and Ike’s dirty sauce. A San Jose staple is La Victoria’s Taqueria where you can slather their famous orange sauce on burritos, quesadillas and tacos!

The Honda NHL All-Star Game puck drop is at 5PM.

San Jose’s beer and bar crawls are the perfect "celly" after a big win. Check out our #MillennialMile and Craft Brew Blitz for the best local spots.

Day 4

Sunday, January 27

Before you leave the San Jose sunshine, grab a hearty breakfast at Bill’s Café, Park Station Hashery or Bite of Wyoming and enjoy the last day of Fan Fair from 10Am to 4PM.
