Facilities Attendent

Facilities (Full-Time On-Call)

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Sweeps, mops, washes and polishes floors. Maintains cleanliness of facilities and replenishes restroom supplies. Operates various types of industrial power equipment such as sweepers, buffers, vacuums, carpet steamers, and polishers. Performs routine maintenance on equipment. Moves furniture and equipment as needed to perform their essential functions. Drives electric carts and performs related work as required.

This is an on-call union position, and all individuals in this role are represented by UNITE HERE! Local 19

SALARY:

$20.25 per hour (Rate of pay for first 30 working days is $1.00/hr less the rate listed)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sweeps, mops, washes and polish floors using chemicals and detergents.
  • Maintains cleanliness of doors, walls, windows, mirrors, hardware, fixtures, and restrooms. Replenishes supplies in restrooms and designated areas.
  • Empties and cleans trash and recycle cans and ash trays.
  • Washes, shampoos and steam clean carpets.
  • Dusts, cleans, and polish furniture, doors, glasses, walls, equipment and other objects.
  • Cleans and vacuums carpets and floors.
  • Moves furniture, equipment and other objects
  • Performs minor and/or routine maintenance on equipment used on the job, such as replacing broken belts on a vacuum cleaner
  • Operate/drives powered industrial truck including Cushman Perform other related duties as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to speak, read and write in the English language effectively.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience performing custodial work in a Convention Center and/or Hotel with room set-up and customer support.
  • Scheduling flexibility is essential, willing to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License with no restrictions.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. in weight.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Comply with company & departmental procedures, expectations, goals and standards while providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
