Banquet Server

Food & Beverage (On-Call)

 

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Banquet Servers serves meals and drinks to guests, maintains a clear and attractive station, may take orders for meals or beverages, sees that all liquor laws and rules are enforced in the service of alcoholic beverages. 

This is an on-call union position, and all individuals in this role are represented by UNITE HERE! Local 19.

SALARY: $11.00 per hour + tips/service charge for functions  
 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to speak, read and write in the English language effectively.
  • Two (2) years’ experience as a Banquet Server.
  • Scheduling flexibility is essential, willing to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Have a valid California Food Handler Card.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Comply with company & departmental procedures, expectations, goals and standards.
  • Consistently providing friendly and pleasant customer service by being courteous, professional, and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Abide by all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette and appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.
