Director of Sales
Full Time
The Director of Sales and Destination Services will direct, motivate and lead the sales managers and assist in managing Destination Services. This highly experienced Director of Sales & Destination Services should have large convention hotel sales and a strong leadership background. Team San Jose is seeking an individual with previous convention center and/or Destination Marketing experience. The right individual will need to be organized, proactive and transparent. A self-starter with positive energy, excellent communication skills and a proven record of exceeding goals will be the best qualified candidate.
Excellent leadership qualities as a coach and mentor will be required. An ability to bring discipline to the sales process through systems, planning and accountability will be key factors to success. The ability to handle pressure from inside and outside the organization is essential, as is the ability to handle confidential information and issues.
The Director of Sales & Destination Services will represent Team San Jose and the San Jose Convention & Visitors Bureau (Visit San Jose) and work in cooperation will all community stakeholders to maintain a healthy working relationship in this public-private partnership.
Security Officer

The Security Officer is responsible for monitoring cameras and radios, responding to calls, designating and assigning security personnel for security services, contacting emergency responders and providing information to individuals seeking inquires, patrolling assigned areas, investigating and/or reporting hazards and suspicious circumstances, preparing incident reports, and performing a wide range of administrative duties related to security.

The Security Officer is responsible for monitoring cameras and radios, responding to calls, designating and assigning security personnel for security services, contacting emergency responders and providing information to individuals seeking inquires, patrolling assigned areas, investigating and/or reporting hazards and suspicious circumstances, preparing incident reports, and performing a wide range of administrative duties related to security.
Warehouse Worker
On Call/Variable
Warehouse is responsible for shipping, receiving, issuing, storing, and securing supplies and transporting equipment/products to and from various locations and venues. This is an ON-CALL, FULL TIME union position, and all individuals in this role are represented by UNITE HERE! Local 19 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilities Houseperson
On Call/Variable
Set-up and arrange chairs, tables, platforms, furniture, and equipment for events according to diagrams and oral instructions. Refresh, touch-up, and clean meeting areas. Drives various powered industrial trucks such as electric carts, forklifts, and utilizes pallet jacks to mobilize equipment. Provide customer support and service to internal and external clients. Performs related work as required. This is an on-call union position, and all individuals in this role are represented by UNITE HERE! Local 19.
Ticketing Representative
Part-Time/On Call
The Ticket Services Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service, completing in-person and phone ticket sales for all four of our theaters (Center for Performing Arts, San Jose Civic, California Theatre, and Montgomery Theater), as well as handling will call distribution.
Cashier
On Call/Variable
The Cashier tallies and turns in daily receipts, and is responsible for a bank and handles cash, and provides exceptional customer service to clients. This is an on-call union position, and all individuals in this role are represented by UNITE HERE! Local 19.
Bartender
On Call/Variable
The Bartender is responsible for mixing, pouring, and servicing hard liquor or alcoholic beverages, selling food, and providing superior service to both the internal and external customers. This is an on-call union position, and all individuals in this role are represented by UNITE HERE! Local 19
Production Assistant
Part-Time/On Call
The Production assistant handles show day activities within the Theaters as needed by the Production Manager and tour requirements. This position is involved with Back of House assignments and reports the Production manager.
Temporary Human Resources Administrative Assistant
Full Time
The Human Resources Temp Administrative Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of human resource operations. This position is a temporary position with an estimated completion end date of six months following hire.
Theater Director of Sales
Full Time
Theaters Director of Sales is responsible for maximizing revenue and attendance for the theaters through client inquiries, negotiating services and prices, conducting inside and outside sales calls, performing venue tours with prospective clients, prospecting telephone calls, attending industry functions and trade shows, detailing all events booked, as well as overseeing the inquiry through settlement process in order to improve system efficiency and overall client satisfaction. The right individual will need to be organized, proactive, and transparent.
