West San Jose

West San Jose is arguably home to San Jose’s most famous landmark, the Winchester Mystery House. Guests can tour the 132-year-old mansion and learn the legend of Sarah Winchester. Marvel in the homes puzzling architecture – doors that open onto nothing, stairs that lead to the ceiling, and most of all, the surreptitious number 13 lurking in every beautiful design. A short walk from the mansion, visitors can unwind at Santana Row – a European inspired shopping district, and Westfield Valley Fair featuring a luxury-shopping wing.

Drive a little further west and indulge in Japanese culture, cuisine, and shopping at the Mitsuwa Shopping Center. While you're there, indulge at the shopping center's food court and try Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, featuring several mouthwatering bowls of ramen.

Visitors in West San Jose can also choose from upscale dining options such as Le Papillon, to casual dives such as the Falafel Drive-In, which was featured on Food Network's “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives", hosted by Guy Fieri.
