Montgomery Theater

Located in downtown San Jose, the historic Montgomery Theater is an intimate performing arts venue that blends timeless charm with modern amenities. Built in 1936, the 500-seat theater hosts a diverse lineup of performing arts, private events, and is home to CMT San Jose, one of the nation’s largest youth musical theater and training programs.

Recent renovations to the theater include updated dressing rooms, seating, hardwood floors, carpeting and restrooms, along with a restored auditorium and a state-of-the-art digital marquee. Outside, a landscaped courtyard with a built-in fire pit provides a versatile setting for outdoor meetings, live entertainment and pre-show receptions, with the option to connect to the adjacent San Jose Civic courtyard.
