WOODZ debuted in 2014 as a member of the multinational boy band UNIQ. After participating in the project group X1, he transitioned into a solo artist, solidifying his unique musical identity as an all-rounder.

In 2024, while in the military, he appeared on the KBS show Immortal Song: Armed Forces Day Special and performed his own song “Drowning,” from his fifth mini-album.
