McDonnell Hall at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish
Located behind Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, McDonnell Hall served as the tactical headquarters for the Chicano civil rights movement of the 1950s and 60s. In a neighborhood nicknamed Sal Si Puedes (get out if you can), visionary leaders gathered here to turn literacy classes and voter registration drives into a national revolution for justice.
Today, it stands as a proud National Historic Landmark, preserving the echoes of the voices that changed our world.
