Roy Orbison Returns

Roy Orbison Returns is a 90-minute live performance of Roy Orbison’s most popular songs with humor, personal and professional history. The show features Wiley Ray and the Big O Band, 5 musicians who have performed together for over 20 years in California, Arizona, Oregon, New Mexico and Tennessee. The show is patterned after Black and White Night - a celebration of Roy’s music performed and televised on PBS Television for over 10 years. Black and White Night featured many of the same songs recreated by the Big O Band.

The repertoire is accompanied by scripted commentary roughly following Roy’s musical career beginning with his days at Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee when Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins broke the ground for Rock n Roll. Roy 's contribution to that was Rockabilly Opera. He is known as the soul of the rock ballad and is a member of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
