Come From Away

Children's Musical Theater San Jose (CMT San Jose) presents Come From Away, a true story of compassion and unity set in the days following September 11, 2001, when 38 planes were diverted to the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. The musical follows the town's residents as they welcome nearly 7,000 stranded passengers from around the world, transforming a moment of crisis into an unforgettable testament to kindness and human connection. Featuring a fast-paced, folk-infused score and a tightly woven ensemble of characters, the production captures both the heartbreak of that week and the extraordinary generosity that emerged from it. This performance is part of CMT San Jose's Marquee series, featuring a cast of CMT alumni and emerging artists from the Bay Area and beyond.

Now in its 59th season, CMT San Jose is one of the region's premier youth performing arts organizations, offering training and performance opportunities to thousands of young artists each year. CMT San Jose trains and educates today's youth through musical theater to set and achieve high artistic and personal goals, and to inspire them to become exemplary artists, patrons and citizens of tomorrow.
