Shrek The Musical

Children's Musical Theater San Jose (CMT San Jose) presents Shrek the Musical, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film, telling the story of an ogre who embarks on a quest to reclaim his beloved swamp from a horde of displaced fairy tale characters. Along the way, Shrek and his newfound friends discover that true beauty and belonging come from embracing who you really are. The production celebrates individuality and the idea that everyone deserves their happily ever after.

Now in its 59th season, CMT San Jose is one of the region's premier youth performing arts organizations, offering training and performance opportunities to thousands of young artists each year. CMT San Jose trains and educates today's youth through musical theater to set and achieve high artistic and personal goals, and to inspire them to become exemplary artists, patrons and citizens of tomorrow. The organization is dedicated to fostering creativity and a lifelong love of the performing arts in a supportive and inclusive environment.
